Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptySun Nov 20, 2011 11:55 pm

They say that most people, when in their own dreams, do not know they are dreaming. This is even more relevant when one is dreaming for extended periods of time. Especially when one was down for 200 years. Aaron had grown so accustomed to his dream world, so used to it, that when the pod opened and he realized he had been sleeping the whole time, his first reaction was to freak out. How could everything that had become such a reality to him been all just a dream?

He did not have much time to think on it though, the pod had opened, and his eyes seared with pain as he tried to open them. The light was too much for his eyes and his arm shot up to cover them. He was weak, very weak, and he felt it right away. He could barely even hold his arm up, and when he took a step forward, his legs gave out and he collapsed to the ground. He tried to hold himself up with his arms, but instead he lay on his belly, wondering what the hell was going on.

His vision was blurry and his memory terribly foggy. His eyes rolled around, trying his hardest to take in his surroundings and figure out what was going on, but it was still too bright for him. He laid there for what seemed like forever until his vision began to grow accustomed to the light around him. The first thing he saw was a bunch of pods, that he assumed were similiar to what he had been in.

Then it all came flooding back to him, the memories of what had happened. A surge of energy flooded through his body and he found the strength to push himself up and move into a sitting position. He groaned, his head throbbing, and he looked around. He noticed that the other pods were opening as well, but he had been the first one out. It had worked, they had made it.

His memory was still shaky but it was slowly coming back. The disease, the ministry scrambling to figure it out, then the idea of them selecting a few people to be saved so to speak. He was surprised they had chosen him, but at the same time he wasn't. He was respected in the wizarding world, at least a little bit, and they chose him because of his aptitude for wand making. They had no idea he had secretly been forming an uprising and was well on his way to becoming a great and powerful wizard.

His eyes darted around the area, taking things in. The world was noticeably quieter and had a weird feeling about it. He slowly pushed himself to his feet and stretched as wide as he could. His body was slowly starting to come back to life, though he knew it was going to be a process. At least now he could stand. Then he slowly started to take in everything around him and his eyes widened in shock.

It looked like Hogwarts had been without any kind of upkeep for years. Aaron then wondered how long they had been asleep for. Hogwarts no longer looked welcoming in any way, instead, it looked abandoned and creepy. The walls were cracking and the natural wildlife was starting to grow around it. Windows had been shattered and it seemed as if no one had stepped foot inside for years.

He slowly approached the school, realizing that they had probably long been forgotten. He reached into his pocket and he pulled out his wand, then he felt it. Most wizards never really realized the magic they had inside of them. It became so normal to them that they never even paid attention, but Aaron could feel the difference. It was like he had been drained of his magic. It was still there, but it was so faint it might as well have not been there at all. He held his wand out and tried the simplest spell he could think of. "Lumos." he muttered weakly. His wand did not even sputter. He let his arm drop lazily by his side and he looked up at the school again, an emptiness he had never felt began to wash over him.

Questions began to flood his mind. How long had they been under? What happened to the magic that once protected Hogwarts? Where was everyone else and why hadn't they come to check on the ones that had been put under? A realization began to creep over him, one he had never felt before. Were they the only ones left? No, he shook his head. That was foolish. There had to be other people out there somewhere.

He made his way to the entrance of Hogwarts, but it was here the fatigue sat in. He had not moved in ages, for all he knew it could have been thousands of years. He sat down on the steps that lead up to Hogwarts and he looked out into the forest. It was like he was sitting in a jungle, somewhere far off where no one had stepped foot in years. It was a weird feeling, one he could not explain. "HELLO!" He shouted, knowing he would not get an answer, and unsure of what he would do if he did get one.

"What do I do now...." he said quietly to himself.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyMon Nov 21, 2011 12:11 am

The pod creaked open, emitting a small noise, like a groan or sigh of relief. The lid rose until it sat erect, bathing to body in the warmth of the sun. Jack was not conscious when her body began to come back to life, a warmth spreading into her furthest parts of her body, her fingers and toes and ears and nose. Her left ring finger twitch, her foot jerked. Her eyelids tightened over eyes as they became aware of the ability to open. Her fingers curled and her back arched ever so slightly.

Her eyelids flew open and took in a bright, sunny sky. Her fingers slid along the edges on the pod, feeling it, before they travelled up to her face. She felt no wrinkles. She gripped her hair- seemed normal. She clutched her stomach. She swore she could sense the pizza that had been there when she had fallen under her enchanted sleep. She felt a warmth in her body and she felt her body and mind regenerating.

She sat up, her spine curving neatly as she did. She stretched, turning one way and then the other, before putting a hand up, blocking the bright sun. She yawned and blinked looking over to see she had been placed on the farthest side, closest to the lake. She reached over and grabbed her bag, pulling it onto her lap. She glanced down to see two small owls begin ruffling their feathers. She brushed them down, helping them awaken. The birds stretched their wings out and took flight.

Jack had no worries. She had been sure to work with the owls. They would return to her the moment that she called for them. Colton and Felicity. Names not of her devising, but names nonetheless. She smilled and reached over the side of the pod, picking up the broomstick that had lain next inside it. She ran her fingers over it, knowing it was the first thing she would do in her free time.

She turned and looked at the other pods, seeing that they were all open or opening. She did not want to face everyone quite yet. She had a chance to explore. She felt good. She really did not realize she was not questioning why she was here, and surrounded. It was as if she were still dreaming, just accepting what was around her as what it was meant to be.

She turned and pushed herself forward. The second her feet hit the ground, they crumbled. She flopped forward and flung her arms around something, something cool and hard. She laid her head against it, her legs like jelly beneath her, until her arms gained the strength to push herself up. It was a white tomb. A white tomb... A white tomb. A white... to-

This belonged to Albus Dumbledore. It began flooding back. The wizarding world, the disease, the people she had only briefly met before she had been conditioned for her hibernation. She suddenly realized how alive she was, how heavy her body was, how thick her body was, so full of flesh and bone and muscles and tissues and blood. How could she even move with all that was within her.

Her mouth was dry from these realizations. She turned her head and spotted the lake, not far. She turned and began her way across, on quivering legs. She grew stronger and kneeled beside the lake. She looked at her reflection. She had not changed at all. Her face remained unchanged. But everyone she had known, well... their faces had long been reduced to dust.

Her stomach clenched and she sighed. She had not had friends anyway, no real family to miss. But Riley... They had never reconciled. She sighed sagain and watched the ripples on the water. Ripples meant activity... Ripples meant-

She heard a shout and she jerked to look backwards, her hand slipping into the water. "Shit!" she grumbled, shaking water off her hand. She withdrew her wand from her pocket and attempted to dry her hand. She found nothing happened. "What?" She tried again, all in vain. She heard the gentle lapping of the water and realized she was without defense. She quickly stood.

"Oi!" she yelled, approaching the distant standing figure in quick strides. "Can you keep it down?" she said. "Some people are trying to sleep!"

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyMon Nov 21, 2011 12:25 am

Dreams are comforting, but to Chase, most of the time she just felt like she was floating there. Staring into the stars, counting them all, each and every one of them, every now and then she’d be pulled into some fantastic landscape that pulled her through a story, or a memory, something that wasn’t the floating in space, counting her stars. She knew everything she had done wrong, she felt every pain she had felt in her entire life, she felt ever pleasure she had felt, she felt sorrow, and love, and forgiveness and loneliness. Chase counted, wrote down, recorded her dreams, thought of her purpose, realized her fate. Knew where she was headed, but didn’t know at all. How long as she out? How long did it take? Where was she? Why… there was light… but the light was far away. So far away, but it was getting closer.

Chase stared at the light for years, watching in fascination as it grew closer and closer to her, until suddenly, it was upon her. But she couldn’t see, the world had gone white, her stars were gone, her dreams were gone, all it was, was white. Endless light, and then gravity turned back on. She stood there, blinking, and suddenly fell forward, into the waking world.

Her feet were on the ground, and it was bright, so very bright. Chase sat up in her pod, and looked around carefully. The light wasn’t too bad, she had been used to it in the years of light she had sat in, but it was a different light, it wasn’t complete white, there were colors, and hues, and shadows. Black to white, colors were something strange. Chase stared at her hands, taking in the pale colors, the differing shades, the scars. She had been so engrossed in her own memories that everything was fresh, like she had been sleeping for five minutes, not two hundred years, not that she knew the date anyway.

Chase let her gaze move from her hands to the sky, taking in the blues, the whites, the different colors, then she started to look around more. Green, so much green, blue from the lake, white from the pods, a flash of red, Chase looked over and saw Jack Dyllan going to the water, staring at her reflection, turned her head and saw the man shout, the man who seemed pretty terrified. Other pods were opening, people were waking up, and Chase slowly let her hands find the edges of her pod. She found her wand, and looked down, she had been cut just before she had been put to sleep, to test the freezing ability, there was a tiny trickle of blood on her leg, right where they had poked her with the needle, and then she had gone to sleep, the blood seemed to have frozen, but the moment she had woken up, the blood was trickling again.

Chase smiled and very carefully waved her wand, nothing… she felt an odd tingle of sorts in her fingers, but nothing spectacular, and the blood didn’t vanish, or the cut didn’t heal. She slowly started to move her limbs, finding herself, exploring her face with her fingers, wiggling her toes, shaking her head, reaching for bandages that were in her pod, medicine, and a single book on healing. Finally she forced herself to her feet, and groaned, feeling the weight of the world suddenly on her, it was like gravity had not taken kindly to her. She immediately stumbled out of her pod, found a bush, and retched into it. Feeling better, and worse at the same time. Going to the lake beside Jack, she stumbled down the hill, and put some of the water into her mouth, spitting it out again, knowing it wasn’t too safe to drink it just yet.

She felt better, but she knew it wasn’t a good thing she had lost all of her food, who knew when they would eat again. “Jack calm down.. I need to give you all a once over before we even think about going to far from each other okay? Can you go get him, he’s suffering a bit of shock I do believe..” She said carefully, touching her hair and then putting her wand into her pocket carefully, determined to figure out more about her inability to use magic later.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyMon Nov 21, 2011 12:38 am

Aris was not rushed. He heard gentle activity around him, but he lie back, amusedly musing his hair and rubbing his eyes, stretching his arms and pointing his toes and twisting his torso. He was confused. No idea where he was. Why he was here. His pod was positioned in such a way that it threw a comfortable shadow over his eyes. Another perk of being a Ministry favorite, he supposed.

With this thought, he felt the flood of memories enter his brain. Oooh, right. Disease, screening, selection. He was chosen to help breed the new world. He could not help but think they had made a good choice honestly. He could not quite remember who else had been chosen, as they were all rather ordinary looking in his opinion. No one looked downright dreadful, but a few of them could have worked harder in his opnion.

He waited, letting his memory fully reload and he began to explore his body by runninghis hands over it. Arms, still muscular. Legs, still fit. Torso, still hard. And.. yes, that remained unchanged. Good to, if he was going to be repopulating the world, he would like to see that all of his contributions were still in their prime.

He heard a shout and rolled his eyes. Fools. She stretched and flexed his legs and arms, not stupid enough to jump up and start off running. Aris would not push himself quite yet. Start off strong, appear to be the absolute best of the bunch because frankly.. he was. He heard a sassy response back and bit back a smirk. Someone brushed by his pod and he grinned. Their legs were back. His would be done soon.

He pushed himself up and jumped up, offering a big smile. "Good morning, good MORNING!" he sang in a sultry voice. He adjusted his leather jacket and brushed his hair back, swinging his head so the wind caught it and ruffled it. He looked across and saw a man looking rather helpless. "You alright, mate?"

He turned to see two redheads, already bickering or something. He could not tell. One looked like she need an attitude adjustment, the other looked like she just wanted to hel everyone. He walked over to her, some swagger in his walk as he approached. "Alright, ladies?" he asked. "Hope there's no scuffle. You need anything?"

The one with attiude gave him a look of pure disdain. "Bite me," she said before stalking off.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyMon Nov 21, 2011 12:58 am

Jack was intercepted by Chase. Chase had not changed since they had gone under it seemed. She was still so aware of the needs of everyone else. Jack felt defenses rising inside her naturally, guarding herself from everyone around here. Chase could get some glimpses into who she was, seeing as she already knew a bit. Jack knew there would be little hiding. What must be shown, would be privy to Chase alone.

But Jack hated being told what to do. She felt the overflow of 200 years of emotions wanting to work their course through her body. She grumbled to herself and moved back to the water's edge, scooping a hand into the cool water to splash it upwards on her face. She shook her red mane and turned back around, rolling her neck to release all of the tension.

She could do this. "It's okay Chase. Nothing major yet. Obviously, I'm alive. Let me get this guy before he wakes up whatever might be alive." She glanced back at the lake's surface, seeing that the ripples had smoothed completely. The lake could have ben a reflecting glass. She sighed and turned, only to come face to face with the most arrogant man she had ever meant.

She did not like his tone, she did not like his face, she did not like his expression, and she had a vague impression she would not like his personlity. She had saved her manners for Chase. She had none left. She blinked and said, "Bite me." And with that, she pushed past him, careful to not touch him. She approached the other man and thrust out a hand. "C'mon. Quiet down while your at it."

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyMon Nov 21, 2011 1:00 am

Numbers, letters, lights, sounds, it all flew past Peter in a flash, and then suddenly he was sitting in his pod, wheezing, his back was on fire, his head hurt, and the light was blinding. Everything he had come to know, everything he had come to learn, and what he knew he had to do, came rushing back at one time, and his head was pounding. Peter immediately grabbed his wand, and waved it, hoping for water, because the second the pounding in his head subsided, he was thirsty. Thirst overwhelmed him, and he pointed his wand off the side of the pod, and nothing happened. His wand wasn’t working. After a moment, he realized that the thirst wasn’t real, just his mind saying he should be, but he wasn’t, and he calmed down, but still sat there, staring at his pod. He had a bag by his leg that he knew was filled with books. Good, it was still there.

Suddenly there was a shout, and he looked up to see people moving around. Some were already walking, some were just getting out of their pods, one man looked terrified, two girls sat by the lake, and immediately a boy sauntered past, Peter tried not to make a face as he started to mess with the bag containing a large stock pile of books, and parchment, information needed to remember the past, and record the future. But something was wrong, it felt.. heavier than it should, and he immediately grew worried. “Dammit..” He whispered, and opened it up, looking inside he realized that it was slowly losing it’s power as well, the pod was draining of the magic quickly, and he had only a small amount of time to figure out what to do.

Some girl was demanding they start getting ready for their check ups, but he wasn’t about to move. It wasn’t long before a book started to push out of the top of the bag. “Damn..” He whispered again and attempted to find his legs. Pulling himself out of the pod, he threw his wand on the ground, and held the bag gingerly, it was getting heavier, and he knew there was much to much in this bag to handle with that.

Quickly he picked up his wand, held it out and touched the pod to the bag, it started to grow lighter. “Okay.. hold on like that..” He whispered and looked around, immediately trying to figure out who was more in charge, who their leader would be, and who would be the one to lead their way, because he certainly had no idea what to do, or where to go. He just wanted to get this stuff in a good location that wouldn’t be horrendous if it went everywhere and he was able to organize it. He needed a room, that’s what he needed, but the castle looked pretty beat. He didn’t let himself get distracted by it yet, instead he stared at the pod and his bag, knowing he would need every bit of magic left in his pod to keep this safe until he was able to find a good place to put its contents.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyMon Nov 21, 2011 2:37 am

He was in the woods looking around for his friend Leah. She had continued on running past where Silvyr had stopped to get a better smell of the area. He had been tracking the scent of a deer and it seemed they were close enough to begin working their way around them and flanking them off. He morphed back into his human form and whistled for her to come back to him. After a few seconds she appeared around the tree and began running back to him in stride.

He felt the gentle touch of the sun on his forehead as he felt nothing else of his body. The sun was warm and the air around him was stuffy yet a coolness was leaking in from somewhere. He opened his eyes though closed them quickly as the light was to painful to look into. He watched as the bright yellows and reds moved like gel underneath his eye lids. He moved his arms slowly up to his eyes and pressed on them. The coolness of his hands brought comfort and he was soon able to open them again.

He looked through the top of the pod that was clear and saw the clouds and sun directly above him. He couldn't make out what had happened in his mind. Just a second ago he was with Leah in the forest on a cloudy day in the northern Siberian forests of Russia. Now he was surrounded in sunlight. He looked around but he didn't recognize anything inside of the small pod he was in. He looked around and found his old book bag was laying next to it. He sat up and rubbed his eyes once more before reaching over to grab it. As he went through his bag he found his wand, a map, and a picture. The picture was face down at the bottom of the bag.

He grabbed it and flipped it around. Leah was sitting with her ears up looking around with what seemed to be a smile on her face. The memories flooded back into his head uncontrollably. The day he had this picture take, the plague, the death of his friend, his weeks at the ministry before going under. Next came the feelings.

He felt his eyes swell with tears and his body stop his intake of air. His mouth fell open uncontrollably as he sobbed and began to choke on his lack of oxygen. He couldn't stop the memories of his friend who he would never see again. He pushed open the lid of his pod and tried to step out without having nearly any control of his body. He fell over onto his side knocking what little wind left in his lungs out while he continued to sob. The lack of oxygen took away his critical thinking and all he knew was that he needed to run; He needed to find his friend; and He couldn't accept the fact that his friend was dead.

He took of towards the woods that he barely got a glimpse of. He knew where Leah would be and he was going to find her.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyTue Nov 22, 2011 12:49 am

Screaming.

His lungs refused to cease their screaming, despite the stubborn strength with which he forced himself to remain amongst cool beads of water and distorted gargling. He even welcomed the tantalizing burn that had settled within his chest; that comforting reminder of existence, which had nearly become a necessity after such an extended period of inactivity. Surely, his need for oxygen did not stand a chance against his will to drown, and yet, his lungs persistently proceeded with their complaints. Or so he had assumed – but he had guessed that the lake would have been warmed by the blazing sun overhead, and had been wrong on that count as well.

Nemo inhaled sharply prior to tearing through the water’s surface, and once more his body was overwhelmed by the foreign elements of the land that he had awoken too.

Gasp. Hurts, breathing. Sharp breaths.

Cold. Too cold. Shivering, desperate, hugging. Need.

Kick, thrash. Move.

Pull.

Dirt. Scratch, rough. Stings. Bleeding.

Nemo flopped onto his back, and was promptly rewarded with the pleasant heat that the ground had stolen from the sun. For a moment, he rested, as though he had grown so familiar with the position that his spine had become eternally stiff. But he quickly grew frustrated as he stared absently at the cloud littered sky, and began to climb to his feet once more.

The vaguely familiar sound of chatter met Nemo’s ears as he collected his dirtied clothing. Evidently, their alarm clock had gone off, and several grouchy human beings had risen to the sound. “Wow! I can actually feel the sexual tension in the air. How long has it been since you people have -” Nemo halted, feigned surprise. “Oh. That’s right. Honestly, how did we ever survive?” He slung his shirt and jeans over his shoulder and rested a hand upon one boxer-clad hipbone. “That can’t be healthy. We should really schedule an orgy for this evening.”

Abruptly, Nemo slung an arm upward, so to catch the attention of the redhead who’d made it known that she was capable of mending wounds, and to stretch the rigid limb simultaneously. “Yeah, Elmo, I think I could use a couple stitches,” he informed Chase with a halfhearted nod in the direction of the injury that he had acquired. “We should have a needle and some thread somewhere around here.”

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyTue Nov 22, 2011 4:40 am

So much was happening at one time that Chase was pretty sure she might go insane. So many people were waking up all at the same time, and she was the only one able to check them and make sure nothing happened wrong. But immediately it all started to freak out. A boy came up that she had only recently met during the weeks they had all spent in the Ministry as they were prepared for this journey. The boy was talking to Jack, and Chase needed to run and get to everyone else who was freaking out and waking up. Chase stood up and immediately went to a boy who was flipping out over his books. "Calm down.." she said quickly, forcing his face up to look at her, as she checked his pupils, watching them dilate and contract. She checked him over for wounds and then went onto the next, but not before one person went running off into the woods.

"Damn!" She whispered, and turned to Jack. Pointing at the man who had run into the woods. "Jack! Someone ran... I can't take the time to chase him down though, can you send someone after him?" She asked, immediately taking on the role of pointing out that Jack was in charge, and she would follow Jack with her orders, even if someone else was in charge. When Nemo came up to her with a wound, she frowned and looked at him, trying to place his face, before shrugging and going to her pod and pulling out a needle and thread. "Come here.." She said and sat down on the edge of her pod.

"Where are you hurt? I'll fix that first before I check to make sure you are functioning as a human..." She said with a sigh, before she threaded the needle and found a lighter in her pod, picking it up she heated the tip of the needle and gestured him over. "Okay.. come here.." She said with a smile at him, holding her wand out and looking at him. "I'm going to attempt to heal it first, try and see what magic we still possess... other then that I'll stitch you up muggle style, where is the wound?" She asked, frowning and glancing around at the pods that hadn't opened yet.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyTue Nov 22, 2011 12:56 pm

Jack stared down impatiently at the man who she had hurried to go help, to find he really was not responding to her. She felt irritation settle in; did he really expect her to just stand around waiting for him? She supposed he was in shock or something. It was a lot to take in, she knew this, but she was too busy getting things done, she guessed. She did not sit around and muse about how things were and what they meant. She could muse when she was sleeping. Now there was stuff to get down.

She heard Chase's voice reach her from nearer to the lake and Jack wheeled around, her head swiveling in the direction of the man Chase had referred to. Jack called back, "I see him." She glanced around, seeing she was handling the man and that there only seemed to be two others waking up. She didn't think the prettyboy would be of any use, and the other was still crying over his books or something.

She grumbled, and called back, "Get the 'hotshot' to get this guy! I got him." He was not exactly running, but he was a lot farther off, so Jack took off, running across the grounds to catch up. She had never been as good a runner as she was a flyer, but she was active enough to begin gaining on him. She slipped into the forest, which had grown towards Hogwarts a good couple dozen feet. The terrain was rough and unfamiliar so she slowed down. Some parts were familiar and she picked her way through better.

"Oi!" she yelled for the second time that day, this time after the man retreating into the forest. She reached him and slipped around him, stopping in his path and facing him. "What are you doing?!"

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyWed Nov 23, 2011 12:22 am

The tears and light caused Silvyr's vision to be blurred and distorted with no help from the untamed forest surrounding the school now. His body had not recovered from the years of slumber and his footsteps were made up by feeble attempts of throwing one leg in front of the other. His feet caught the ground awkwardly and he fell again hitting his head on a root in front of him. The pain was a shock but it seemed to jolt his body from its hibernated existence. He looked around again as he was surround by a forest he had spent years in with Leah while at Hogwarts. Though overgrown and wild, Silvyr still recognized the area enough to know he was at Hogwarts. Beyond that he might as well of been in a rain forest in South America for all he could tell.

He heard a woman shoot at him from behind. He didn't know if he'd hit his head harder than he'd thought or if he was crazy. If his memory served him right he didn't remember seeing any of the pods opened or anyone else around him back where he awoke. He thought back quickly and remembered the state he had been in when he awoke. His thoughts drifted back to Leah as his feet continued on without need of guidance from his head. It wasn't until a woman cut him off that he realized he'd still been moving. She didn't look like a threat and she seemed to be annoyed and worried at the same time. Which brought about a facial expression of complete anger in a strange way.

He didn't have time to stop and chat with someone who had no answers. At least none that he was searching for anyways. He stared at her for what seemed like minutes, though it was probably seconds, before losing interest in the woman. He began glanceing around the woods again. Fist looking to the sky and examining the trees. He closed his eyes while looking up and inhaled, smelling the fresh forest air filled with different aromas. Even in his human form, Silvyr could depict what animals had been there earlier that day. A fox, a mother deer and fawn, and many a squirrels inhabited this small piece of the woods now. He looked down at the base of the trees looking for teeth marks and paw prints. If the woman spoke again he would have never known. He was in another world. One he enjoyed immensely more than the one he had stayed in since Leah's passing.

As he continued to scan the forest his thoughts became clear about Leah. For the first time in his new existence, he felt he was alone again. He passed the woman now with his back to her and squinted towards the edge of the forest he had entered. He saw a gathering of people by a large white stone and remembered the "Day of Awakening" protocol the ministry went over the day before going into his sleep. He began walking back towards the edge of the forest towards his pod. He wanted his back pack, map, and especially his wand. He couldn't place it but he felt defenseless. He knew once he got his wand in his hand that would all change. He might have been asleep for awhile but it wouldn't take long to feel the magic flowing through him once again. A feeling he was looking forward to beyond all else. He knew after he found his back pack, he could escape these insufferable people.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyWed Nov 23, 2011 3:37 pm

Jack did not get involved with this because she was a great teamplayer or because the had the genes they wanted to see in the new world. No, it was pretty obvious that Jack had no plans to help repopulate. She was not afraid of death, she would have welcomed it 200 years ago. She understood her job was to survive, but even more so, her job was to make sure the others survived. They all had baggage that held them back. Jack had her baggage, but she had shed it when she stepped into the pod. No family, no friends, no job. Just her last purpose. She supposed she was supposed to teach the others about keeping the animals alive, fix in them the skills they needed, keep flying as a tradition, and make sure they were still all alive and well when she passed.

But this man was making that very difficult. He stared at her blankly and she didn't back down, her green eyes remaining unflinchingly on his. He looked away and her arms crossed, looking angrier by the second. But it wasn't until he moved on that she really got pissed. Jack appreciated someone who did not want to be all buddy-buddy, since she doubted she would be making any friends. But being plain disrespectful. Well, Jack did not like that.

"Look, pal!" she called after his back. "Whatever you're looking for is gone! The sooner you get over it, the better you'll survive. It's just us, you'd better start acting like you want to live!" He was pushing out of the forest now, though, and Jack rolled her eyes. She took a quicker path, being careful to listen for wildlife, and then stumbled out of the treeline.

She looked over the grounds. So far, she doubted she could be near anyone, besides Chase, and let them live. Instead, she turned and strolled up to her pod, pulling her knapsack on and shouldering her broom. She could test it out later. She was devising what needed to be done. They needed to inspect Hogwarts, they needed to go through what everyone had, they needed to find somewhere to bunk up, they needed to hunt and gather some plants and herbs, boil some of the lakewater and begin storing it... Then they needed to look at rebuilding Hogwarts.

A thought struck Jack and she glanced over at the gamekeepers hut, barely visible as trees now were on every side but the front, vines wrapping their arms around it. She smirked and thought dibs. She turned backaround and strode over to Chase, glancing down at her arms to see brambles had caught her a few places. She walked past the two men near Chase and kneeled at the water, scooping up water to wash away the dirt. She peered into the depths of the lake, waiting for her old friend to make his appearance... but maybe he was shyer than he had been...

Aris felt anger rise in him and mount, but he shoved it down, remaining cool on the outside and he smirked after the retreating redhead before turning to the other, "In time, she'll find me irresistable," he joked. He glanced her over then walked over to the lake's edge, checking his aperance, then splashing some water on his face. He straightened up and turned to the other redhead, but before he could ask anything more of her, her attention fell on that of another man and she called to the tempestous one, who promptly stalked off into the forest.

Well, it was now or never.

He strode back to the pod and gathered his things, taking off his leather jacket as it was rather warm at the moment, and he gathered them all up, making sure nothing was absent or damaged. He reached up and closed the lid of his pod, before setting his bundle atop it. He did some quick stretched, torso twists and toe touches, to relieve the sleep still in his bones. He glanced over at a man nearby and called, "Alright, mate?"

But Aris didn't stay in one place long.

He made his way back to the redhead by the lake and noticed she was examining the other man. He glanced at himself and saw a thin gash on the side of his forearm. "Buggar," he mumbled, before flashing a grin at the redhead. "Looks like I'll need some doctoring as well. By the way, I'm Aris. Figured we're all going to have to be on a first name basis sometime."

The ball of red fury strode past him again, but his smile remained unfaltering and fixed on the other.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyWed Nov 23, 2011 9:10 pm

As Silvyr began to leave the woods he heard the woman, who had chased him, call out. She had clearly taken his lack of interest personally and he knew she'd hold this against him for awhile. He couldn't believe she tried to give him advice on survival. He thought to himself, "Rule one. Never take anything personally."

The light hit him again as he pushed through the branches of the remaining trees at the edge of the forest. He squinted again realizing it wasn't just his awakening that made the light seem brighter. The sun light was extremely bright and he had to continue squinting as he walked back to his pod. He grabbed his back pack from his pod and grabbed the picture that was lying in the bed like area, where he had been, just a few minutes ago. He picked it up again and put it in the front pocket of his bag. He looked up to see the remainder of people standing near the shore line of the lake. The woman from the woods passed him though he wanted nothing to do with her as he remained to himself. He put his back pack on and started walking over to the small group.

As he walked he looked up to the old school and scanned over the stone walls that had seen better days. It wasn't until then that he noticed the man sitting alone at the top of the stairs. He was sitting and staring out into the distance. He turned and looked out over the lake as he continued making his way towards the group. He looked at the man with the cocky grin on his face feeling a sense of nausea fill his stomach. "We are the last known people to be alive and this clown is one of them." he mumbled to himself and then sighed. He would rather of just died out with the rest of the population.

When he got to the group he was able to better evaluate the three of them. There was another redhead in the group which was rather surprising to him. She had taken over the responsibilities of being in charge as she was stitching up a mans wound. The boy he had seen from a distance was still smirking at everything he looked at. Silvyr looked back at the red headed and said. "My name is Silvyr Svan. I'm not injured, my pulse is normal, I'm thinking clearly, and all of my limbs work." At that he turned and began walking back up towards the school. He didn't want to be around anyone and he knew his magical energy would return to him shortly. When that happened he wouldn't need any of these peoples help. He wouldn't need anyone again.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyThu Nov 24, 2011 4:37 am

Chase went quickly in stitching up the man who had a gash, she wasn't sure how he had gotten it, but it was easy enough of a fix, and she didn't mind the blood, she used an extra rag to mop up the blood, and smiled at him. "Good as new." she said with a smile at him, before turning to the next one. A rather handsome boy who announced his name was Aris, odd name. But she wasn't about to hold that against him. "Ah got one too?" She asked, holding up the needle and thread and smiling at him. "Come here sir, I will patch you up... but first.." she said moved to him and checked how he was responding to light to his eyes, checked him over for any other signs of wounds, and then took some potion and doused the end of her needle in it, cleaning the blood off of it.

"Alright sir, come here..." She said looking up when the next man came up and said he was fine. "Dammit people.." She hissed, "Weren't we given protocol?! You are to first check in with me, and then go to Peter to get signed in! Now you are all just running around like crazy!" Chase sighed and started to patch Aris up, trying hard not to let her frustration show. "Am I the only one thinking clearly today?" She asked mumbling as she pulled the skin on Aris's arm back together and stitched it up quickly, wiping away the blood and leaving it as that. Chase looked up at the boy who everyone was supposed to be signing in with, but saw he seemed... well pretty preoccupied.

Chase looked around for Jack and saw she seemed pretty distant as well, it was as though everyone had forgotten their purpose, what needed to be done! There was so much to do before nightfall! Who knew what kind of creatures would come out at night, who knew what would attack them the second they entered the school, and they were all completely distracted by thoughts they should be thinking about later! "Come on guys.." She whispered packing away the needle and thread, and going to her pod, stowing it in there for the time being. "Who else needs looked at?!"

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyThu Nov 24, 2011 6:04 am

Jack was rifling through her bag, affirming that everything she had brought with her was, indeed, with her and was unharmed. She slipped the laser pointer and a pack of matches into her pocket and withdrew her wand again. She pointed it at a rock and said, "Reducto!" The rock didn't even twitch. Her wand feebly released a singular spark and she let out a frustrated groan. "The hell, man!?" They had been counting on magic. She didn't have any weapons. How could she hunt? How could she defend herself?

It didn't matter now. Chase was getting pissed. That much was obvious. "Anyone have something I can use as a weapon? Something until we get these damn twigs working?" she said, smacking her wand against her thigh. She grinned over at Chase, not able to keep herself from being amused by Chase's frustration. "Sorry, Chase. You know I can't stand protocol."

The Aris fellow strode off for whatever reason and Jack glanced back into her pack, as though hoping a bat would appear within it. She glanced over at Chase who seemed ready to blow and sighed. "Fine, look me over," she said, stepping forward to subject herself to the examination. She checked out, as she knew she would, just fine. She glanced back to see Aris approach, a cheeky smile on his face as he handed her a knife.

"Careful, I plan to cook with that," he said. "Can I get a thank you?"

Jack would have played nice, if he didn't have such a smart ass mouth. Instead she said, "I'm sure you can find one somewhere around here," and pulled her knapsack on. She jogged towards Hogwarts, passing the Peter boy. "I'm alive and accounted for. That's Jack Dyllan. Two l's." She didn't even slow down. She passed by the other man without a word and stopped at the door. Slowly, she put her shoulder against it, knife held out, and pushed it inwards.

She stepped inside, waiting for her eyes to adjust. She opened the door wider, bathing the Enterance Hall in light. Roots spread across the floor, and she could hear a faint skittering. She stepped inside and spotted a bundle of sticks. She reached down and went to work, using the matches to devise a quick torch. When it was lit, she made her way deeper inside, going towards the Great Hall. She felt something slither over her foot and she retracted her foot slightly and lowered the torch to see a snake heading for the dungeons. It was small, not poisionous. No threat.

She made her way into the Great Hall, thinking that if the magic was gone maybe she'd actually get to see the ceiling. She was surprised, however. Trees had grown through the windows, their branches spreading, and somehad sprouted in the room, creating a canopy above her head. She chewed her lip. Not exactly the shelter they needed...

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyThu Nov 24, 2011 2:20 pm

Peter was having a hell of a time already, while they were all bothering over other less important matters, his books were starting to pop out of his bag, and he was getting frustrated. But suddenly some girl was shouting his name, and he realized that he did have important things to work out, if need be he'd store his books in everyone's pods until they could be moved, but for the time being, he pulled out a large thing of parchment, and writing in his tiny cursive writing, started to write things down.

Day One:
We have woken, the landscape is pretty wild, Magic has deteriorated. It appears to be early morning, and so far awake are...

Peter Harrington
Chase Moor
Jack Dyllan
Aris Gregoriou
Aaron Marchetti
Nemo O'Mara
Silvyr Svan

Initial wake up is.. rocky. One has run in fear, some are wounded, and checkups with Chase Moor are not exactly going to plan. Our bodies are tired, even though we all feel as we did when we fell asleep, even the magic could not stop the shock that was jolting from our own dream worlds and into the waking world, realizing we are here now, and it has worked.

It appears that magic items will only hold so long, my bag has started to lose it's weightlessness, and I can no longer pick it up, books have started to pop out of it, and pretty soon the bag will be useless. Trees and wildlife seem to have overtaken everything, from the forest, to the school. It appears as though we are alone here, hopefully we are not the last ones left. It it yet to be determined how long we have been asleep for, once we have secured our location and gotten a base of operations, I will begin tests to determine just how long we have all been asleep.

Peter grimaced, and looked around again, trying to imagine the grounds he had so loved, through the brambles, and horrors that had overtaken their land. His eyes traveled to the school, taking in the Ravenclaw tower with dismay, it would be a long time until they would be able to reach up there, and it seemed as though Jack Dyllan had already decided to head in, good idea, they needed to get somewhere safe, who knew what mutants had developed over time, for all they knew they could have been asleep for thousands of years, but it didn't seem that way... the trees were not as big as a thousand years old. There didn't seem to be many huge changes in the environment, of course it wasn't as pretty as it always had been, and it seemed that anything and everything had taken the idea that Hogwarts was safety, and made roots in it, literally. He could see branches from trees sprouting through windows and he knew that that would be his first goal. He would look at the trees, see how old they were, and date their wake up from there.

Chase Moor stood up and went over to him, her chattering towards him was nearly lost on his ears except that he was listening for key words, such as what to write down about their wounds. So far everyone seemed to be safe and alive, if a bit jumpy, and soon everyone would calm down and they could figure out the status of the people not awake yet. Peter picked up his wand and gave it a shake, watching a single spark fly out the end. "We need new wands I do believe... I'm not sure if the magic is gone.. or if it has changed..." He said to the redhead, who looks slightly surprised before realizing he wasn't listening and checking him once over before going onto the next person waiting.

Peter stared at his wand in frustration, he had been just about to make a breakthrough with the Wolfsbane potion, a potion he had been working on since his 7th year of Hogwarts, and then the disease had struck, he had set the potion aside, gone to work on curing the disease, but there wasn't enough time, instead he had joined the team who made the pods, and picked people, before he was chosen himself to be put into suspension and left asleep on the Hogwarts grounds until the disease was gone. He remembered the day well, it was, to him, only yesterday after all.

As many people as possible had crowded the grounds, some supporting signs of the disease were sectioned off from the non diseased, there were speeches made, and music played, and fanfare, until finally, the moment everyone had waited for, they were told to go to their pods, and sit, then their own possessions were loaded with them. From the bag Peter had spent weeks on filling with just the right things he would need, to Jack Dyllan's broom, to the medical supplies Chase Moor would need. Provisions were provided, some food items, extra clothes, it was all there, but no one knew what they would need, they all hoped somewhere inside of them that they would wake up to the same noise and celebration because the disease had been defeated, that they would only sleep for a few months, or a couple of years, but it seemed..

It seemed as though the disease had not been exterminated, it seemed that the world had overgrown, and for all they knew, they were the last ones left. The survivors of the greatest mass extinction known to man, man kind itself wiped out from the face of the earth, who knew if muggles still survived, who knew if werewolves and Vampires still existed, trolls, giants, sphinxes and Dragons, it was all unknown, and here they were, a ragtag group of young adults, about to face the greatest school in history, a school that probably still had it's own type of magic inside, albeit different then they knew, a school that could very well be their enemy now, and they needed to conquer it. It all seemed so hopeless, so impossible, but they had to, they had to do it, it was their task, their job, their mission, and they had to complete it. What else could they do?

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptyFri Nov 25, 2011 7:45 pm

Slowly, vision came back to the man that sat in one of the pods, one seperated from the others. Inside the pod, Andrew J. Thompson had begun to have his vision slowly come back to him. The pod had managed to keep him alive through the nightmare he had been put through. He coughed several times as his vision came back from black to white to normal and Andrew looked in the pod. Utter darkness. The light inside must have been broke or something. Andrew felt the inside of the pod, the cold metal chilling his hands and his breath. Andrew began to panic slightly. He hated closed encounters like this, and it only pushed him further to get out. Andrew waited for the pod to open up automatically, like it probably should have, but it did not open. What was going on? He must have... no, it wasn't the time to think about it. Andrew let out a fierce yell as he slammed the bottom of his foot into the metallic door, letting out a small warbling sound that shook the inside of the pod. It had disoriented Andrew for a second, then let out another kick, this time putting his body into it.

This time, the door flung out, Andrew collapsing with it. When the door and Andrew had collected, there was a crunching sound, followed by the large cloud of dust and particles that surrounded him. There had been a light in the area, so Andrew was glad about that. As Andrew began to push himself up, he saw in front of him a live human skeleton, wearing what appeared to be ministry official clothing. It had been sitting there, almost casually and staring at Andrew. Andrew collected himself from the horrifying sight and managed to get to his feet. He felt nauseous, having to grab onto the side of the pod where he slumbered, he moved his hand and looked at his old bed. His hand had removed long collected dust, revealing a name. HE-RY P.-. He swiped the rest of the dust and revealed the name. HENRY P. MILLER. He turned around and looked at the skeleton. He knew now.

He walked outside, trying to keep himself steady due to initial nauseousness and stumbled upon the sight of Hogwarts...but something was different. This wasn't Hogwarts...it couldn't be. It was dead basically...just a shell of its former self. He could just cry at the sight. Not because just of the loneliness he now felt, but because of the last few minutes of his life before this one...

"Andrew pushed his way through the crowds, knowing full well they were cheering on the last people that would walk this earth...they had no idea as to what was coming...Andrew punched a person in the face for stopping him....large confusion now...screaming...Andrew pushes way through guards and steps in front of the pods...noticing familiar nametags and feels hope...stops in front of a separated pod..."

Now Andrew shunned his memory and kept going, needing to find them...the rest of the survivors. He continued through the courtyards and the plantation that had formed. Strange...there was little bodies everywhere. Seeing as how what happened. Yet he trudged on though, knowing the the Great Hall would probably be a good place to begin to search. He made his way to the Entrance Hall and heard voices. Thank Merlin! He went a little faster, his left arm beginning to feel pain from the fall. Andrew tried to get his voice together, but he was suddenly striked with fear. Who would he be facing? He had no idea as to what was going on, those could have been insane survivors after all. He went slowly. He pushed open the door and began to survey the area.

He knew the survivor in the Great Hall. He knew her well. He toke a couple of steps, trying to make them as quiet as possible. "Hey Jack," he said, his body feeling weary and sick. What had happened to the Great Hall?!

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptySat Nov 26, 2011 8:49 pm

Everything that was going on around him slowly began to make sense. People began to file out and speak, he did not respond. He was too busy in his own head, trying his hardest to piece everything back together. Slowly things were starting to make sense again, albeit a little slowly. He was starting to remember things as the people ran around like crazy trying to get he situation under control. It amused him how everyone was already beginning to freak out and get angry with each other.

A few things ran through his head. At first, he wanted to just rebel against everyone and make it as difficult as possible. He did not belong here, he was not like the other people that had survived. But, at the same time, there was no one else to go to. These people, they were it. This WAS civilization and if he started going against it this early into it, well nothing good would come from it. His next idea was to just go with it. It was the one he liked less, but ultimately, it was the one he knew he would go with. He was a survivor, and he would do whatever it took to survive.

So he slowly pushed himself to a standing position and made his way over to the women, whom he had heard was named Chase, and he walked up to her knowing she was going to do the whole medical procedure. He was quiet the whole time, not really interested in talking or meeting the people around him. It had all happened so quickly that he had honestly not had time to even take in the bitter reality of the situation, which was, this was the last of the world.

"I am next...." He muttered when the women asked. He stepped forward and stood in front of her without question. Then he remembered he was supposed to do something. He reached into his pocket and he pulled out a small notebook and opened it. It detailed his instructions, which was to make sure that everyone's wand was in working order. He glanced around quickly, and then slid the note book back into his robe. He would get to it later, maybe.

"Seems like everyone is losing their head already. But, can you blame em, we all just realized we were the last living people...."

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptySat Nov 26, 2011 11:37 pm

Jack had crouched in the forest-like mess that was the Great Hall and was running her hands over the ground, shocked to find that the ground was still intact. If you did not look back to the door or the doorway, you could forget you were inside. A thin layer of leaves lay across the floor, sure, but she could feel the stone beneath the leafy carpet. She straightened up and took a step forward, reching up to pull a hanging vine free and tie it around her waist.

She heard a voice and turned, hand reaching for her wand- not that it would help- and raising the knife before she realized it was only Andrew. She relax, dropping her hands and saying, "Hey." She raised her finger to her lips and said, "I don't know if-" She heard a rustle and turned, seeing the tail of a squirrel disappear through a bush. She remained motionless for a moment and then turned back. "Well, know I do. We're not quite alone."

She really wanted to push her way in farther. Deer. That would be the best. If they could construct some weapons and learn to hunt deer, they could build up a store of meat and they could live comfortably. She took a step further, having spotted a thick, straight stick. She reached down and pulled it upwards, turning back to Andrew. "C'mon, let's get back to the others."

She turned and walked out, carefully picking her way across to the door. She made her way through the Enterance Hall and back into the blinding light outside. She ducked her head, holding a hand upwards to shield her eyes, juggling the knife into a beltloop and holding the stick like a staff. She glanced back at Andrew and beckoned him to follow.

On her way over to Chase, she veered over to the book boy and said, "C'mon, Bookman, the excitement is at the lake." She continued on her way and stopped at the group, holding the knife out for the man she had borrowed it from. "I think we need quick introductions, someone who knows everyone just speed through them, and then we need to split into groups and check out the castle. Kitchens and Potions; Library for Bookman. Briefly glance into other places to see what's left. The Trophy Room may have some good supples. We'll need something to chop wood and to kill game."

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptySun Nov 27, 2011 1:30 am

Silvyr felt a sickness in his stomach as he looked down at the ground. While walking away from the group thoughts rushed through his head that caused his stomach to groan. How could he have taken this extension of life when he knew many others would have jumped at the opportunity. Besides he didn't want to be around these people, he still couldn't feel the magical energy he'd once known, and Leah was long gone. A hole seemed to be growing in his heart as the sickness continued to swirl through his stomach.

He looked back up to see the man, who had been sitting on the top of the stairs, was now pass him going towards the lake. At the same time the red head who had chased him into the woods was climbed the stairs headed into the school. "Fuck that." he thought as he turned to look back towards the group by the lake. Another man passed him heading into the school and that made up his mind for him. "Why go now?" was the only sentence to pop into his mind. He had planned on exploring the school to be alone and it seemed he wouldn't be so lucky. He began walking back down towards the group but passed them and sat looking out over the lake. He needed to clear his mind, he needed to get hydrated, and he wanted to help. The initial shock of where he was had passed and his mind went to the things he needed most and could control at this time.

He sat until it seemed the other people around the nurse had been checked and taken care of. His body felt fine and he knew everything was working but protocol was protocol. He made his way over to her to be checked and figure out what he needed to do to help.

As he had said to Chase when he called out, he was fine, and after being checked he began introducing himself to the people he had met before going under. He didn't remember most of them but he had time and he was sure he'd get them down pat before their days were over. No matter how numbered they seemed to be. After he met everyone in the group he explained to chase what it was he had done before the time of the disease and told her of his many years spent in the wilderness. He knew what it would take to survive and they needed to begin working if they wanted to be ready before nightfall for the night. He hadn't picked up any new scents that he hadn't before in the past, but he was using his human nose. It was like looking at a shadow of a painting and trying to figure out who it was judging by the background they had been set in front of.

With this the thought of the many portraits in the castle without life, without smiling witches and wizards, brought a feeling of emptiness back into him but he blocked it out of his mind before it was able to alter his mood. The redhead, who Chase had said was Jack, made her way back over to the group. She spoke to everyone about where to go and what to look for. Silvyr spoke when she had finished. "I'll go to the Trophy room. You're right it should have the supplies we'll need to get ready for tonight."

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Waking the Fallen ( Everyone )   Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) EmptySun Nov 27, 2011 6:19 pm

Finally it seemed as though everyone was getting over the shock. Chase was still worried about the others still in their pods, but there was no guarantee they would wake up today, or tomorrow, or even next week. They just had to make sure their magic was still working properly and the inhabitants of the pods were kept alive. It seemed as though finally people were letting her check them over, and she immediately tried to remember all of their names. It had been so hurried, getting to know them while they got ready to be put into pods, she didn't even think she had MET some of them, while was going through training on healing and given books, and spells, and even muggle healing techniques.

Now it seemed people were remembering who she was, they had all been told the girl with the long red hair was the nurse, so it worked out well. She figured out their names and gave them a quick checkup, making sure everything was in working order. It appeared as though there wasn't much wrong with everyone except for being very shaky, but she knew later on there would be, they were not accustomed to this type of living, the trees, the life without magic. Somehow Chase could feel the emptiness inside her, something she had never even known was there filled her up, but now that it was gone, it was almost heartbreaking. It was as though, when it was there, it filled you up with happiness, a happiness that even if you felt sad, was still there. And suddenly, it was gone, only a very feeble amount was left, and it was draining, horrifying, not being able to use magic? What would they do? What were they classified as?

Chase looked at a man who said something about being the last living people. "Well personally I believe that everyone here was hoping that it wouldn't come to this.." She said softly, checking him over quickly. "We all wished that when we woke up.. the disease would have been defeated, a few years passed.. maybe only a few weeks.. it seemed as though for a while there we might not even have to go into the pods at all.. and suddenly.." She recalled the massive amounts of people who had gotten the disease all at the same time, a spread of them, all over the world. Chase frowned and patted the man on the back. "You're fine... calm down, sit for a bit, get your barrings, it's a lot to go through.." She said with a smile to him, before she turned to the next person.

Another man came up to her, and she smiled at him, checking him once over, knowing that he was fine, but making sure anyway. He spoke to Jack who was commanding the troupes, Merlin knew they needed to be commanded, Chase had no idea what to do, and it seemed as though Jack was going to get them into the castle that day. Good, they needed a safe room, and one of them might just find the one. The boy who had been severely worried about his books came down just as Jack finished speaking, he had a large roll of parchment in his hand and appeared to be writing on it. That's right.. that's Peter Harrington, our historian.." Chase thought as she looked at him, and then held up her hand. "I think I know everyone.." She said looking around quickly.

"Okay, I'm Chase Moor, I do the healing around her, I don't want to hear of you trying to fix yourself okay? I know more about it then anyone here I'm sure.. so come to me.." She said knowing that she looked like she should be an auror from the amount of scars she had, but was a healer instead. "Our lovely friend here is Jack Dyllan, she is to help with animals and creatures, and I personally take orders from her so..." Chase flushed red before smiling at everyone else. "Silvyr Svan, Peter Harrington, Aris Gregouriou, Nemo Omara, Aaron Marchetti.." Chase said pointing to each in turn. "We were all trained on certain tasks were we not? We know what we are doing here.. I don't think any of us actually realized the extent of what it would be when we woke up.. but this is how it is..." She said looking up at the castle with dismay. "I'll take the Hospital Wing.. I want to see if anything is left..." She said with a sigh.

Suddenly the boy Peter spoke up. "Also keep in mind everyone, it feels as though we lost our magic, but there is a chance that it's not gone.. only mutated.. there is history of it doing so, and once I get an approximate date on how long we've been out, I can start to guess how it mutated with the disease... so.. the school.. it's not our home anymore." He said glancing around the group. "Animals aren't just animals.. the school itself was so infused with magic, I find it hard to believe it's got none left.. the very stone could come alive.. so.. keep on your guard.. I'll be up in the library checking out to see the books, and will be trying to get an age on this place in the meantime.." He said and nodded, looking flustered at his own speech before he started to write things down again.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty

Jack listened carefully to Chase, and with each name came a bit more information. Jack had been conflicted before they had gone under- how much was she supposed to care about these people? Her job was to keep them alive, but she could not decide if it would be easier to care so much for them that she would do anything to keep them alive, or to have a cold distance between them so she could make her decisions in the best interest of the group and have no biases.

So when they had been versed on each other, she had not known whether or not to memorize the information or disregard it. It seemed her instincts told her any and all information could be used to help keep them alive, and the knowledge was slowly but surely making a comeback. She remembered each bit, the person's job, the skills they possessed that made them all an asset, as Chase uttered their name.

Silvyr made his claim for the trophy room and Jack felt a little disappointed. It would have been easier to go with Andrew, and she had wanted to go to the trophy room- she could not be using a chopping knife to hunt. She ticked her pursed lips but nodded, slowly calculating. "Okay. Well, I don't think anyone should be on their own. I wanted to go to the trophy room too. The two of us can go there, Silvyr. Then we need someone to go with Peter to the library; someone to go with Chase to the hospital wing. And someone should go with Aris to the kitchens." It worked out perfectly between Andrew, Aaron, and Nemo.

Waking the Fallen ( Everyone ) Empty

Andrew hadn't been surprised by Jacks reaction to him. He figured there would be no heartfelt reunion, even though he hadn't seen her in a couple of years...plus the amount of years they slept. Andrew still felt uneasy about all of this, he had no idea as to what was going on, and it scared him. Not because of the amount of dead, but he had no idea as to what to do and how to get back to the way things were. But he was positive that would never happen again. He watched as Jack began to survey the Great Hall...or at least what remained of it. He walked in a small semicircle, looking and remembering where everything once sat. "What happened..." he muttered, mainly to himself. He turned and saw that Jack was gesturing for him to follow, but Andrew shook his head. He needed a couple of more minutes.

He made his way through the thick flora, ripping small vines and branches carefully as to not hit a thorn, until he reached the end of the Great Hall where the staff sat overlooking the students. He noticed that most of the table had decayed, but the chairs seemed well enough. Must've been some damn good wood. He walked over and toke note of the other kinds of plants and leaves, trying to make out the type of tree that penetrated through the window. He hadn't recognized it, so he figured he would have to ask someone to identify for him. Not wanting to mess with the flora anymore, he made his way back to the entrance, suffering a couple of scratches in the process.

Andrew made his way to where the others were, getting lost in the process, and carefully examined the group. Chase was there. Great, just what I need. he thought to himself, his memory pouring back to him. He forgot the past though and approached Chase. "I guess you can add me on the 'list' or whatever," he said, looking at the others in the group. He hadn't recognized any of them. "I think I left something in my pod," he said, feeling a sudden ping that annoyed him.
